From the quiet landscapes of Canada to the vibrant, resilient heart of Beverly Hills, Cait Alexander’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of courage and the unwavering human spirit. Her path, marked by unimaginable hardship, has culminated in the creation of End Violence Everywhere (EVE), a 501c3 charitable organization swiftly becoming a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change for survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault across the globe.

Cait didn’t just arrive in Beverly Hills, she escaped. Fleeing a nearly lethal experience of intimate partner violence in her home country, she found herself seeking refuge and a new beginning in the diverse and accepting embrace of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. What compounds the trauma of her flight is the stark injustice she faced: her attacker was charged 8 times, but never stood trial, never spent a day in jail, and ultimately walked free due to legal delays and systemic failures. This devastating lack of accountability cemented her resolve. “Coming to LA was about survival,” Cait shares. “It was about finding a safe space to heal and, rebuilding life on my own terms, free from abuse. I consider myself lucky to be able to flee from the threats my ex did not want me to escape and eventually, to reclaim my power.”

But Cait Alexander is not one to simply heal in silence. Her personal trauma ignited a fierce determination to ensure others wouldn’t have to navigate similar darkness alone. She recognized a critical gap in support systems, particularly for survivors who often face judgment, disbelief, and systemic barriers to justice. This realization was the genesis of EVE.

End Violence Everywhere (EVE): A Global Mission Rooted in Local Action

Founded with the audacious goal of eradicating intimate partner violence and sexual assault, EVE is more than just an organization; it’s a movement.
“Our mission is simple yet profound: to end violence everywhere,” Cait states emphatically. “We believe every individual deserves to live free from fear, abuse, and discrimination, particularly in light of so much hatred in the world.”
EVE’s approach is multi-faceted and deeply impactful. They provide crucial resources and support for survivors, including access to legal aid, mental health services, and safe housing at absolutely no cost to the survivors. Yes, that’s right, no financial strain is put on the survivors at all. But their work extends far beyond direct support. EVE is a powerful advocate for policy change, working tirelessly to strengthen laws, improve reporting mechanisms, and challenge the societal norms that perpetuate violence.

“Education is a cornerstone of our work, particularly on how abusers’ minds operate and the most dangerous time can be when the survivor is trying to leave,” Cait explains. “We aim to raise awareness, dismantle harmful stereotypes, and empower communities to recognize and prevent intimate partner violence and sexual assault before it even starts.” Through workshops, public campaigns, and collaborative initiatives, EVE is fostering a culture of consent, respect, and accountability. Although EVE is just a year old, they have helped over 1,000 survivors in various capacities, and are an internationally recognized charity, most recently acknowledged by mega beauty company Thrive Causmetics with their namesake eye shadow pen. In their first year EVE has already been nominated for global achievement awards from RBC and Women Empowerment Awards sponsored by Rogers. They’ve partnered with self defence company Bestie Defence, which make incredibly slick life saving tasers and pepper sprays that are more user friendly and aesthetically pleasing for women. It’s only the beginning.

From Survivor to Changemaker: Cait’s Bravery in Action

Cait Alexander’s personal story is inextricably woven into the fabric of EVE. Her vulnerability in sharing her experiences has not only humanized the issue but has also inspired countless others to come forward and seek help. She embodies the very resilience she champions.

“We’re the bold ‘new kid on the block,’ and we’ve grown at an immense pace- a giant nod to the incredible team at EVE. We’re fierce, fearless and I believe you have to meet the atrocity of abuse with the same force of love. I love to give back and create a safer world for us all. I love watching these often teenage girls find their voice and speak out against the violences they’ve endured. They’re so brave. My lawyers say ‘you have a bias toward action,’ and I have to agree. I don’t cease, I don’t desist, and I know we’re standing on the right side of history.”
Says an anonymous survivor who EVE is helping navigate an international child abduction case:
“Cait and Marshall Law stepped in where institutions failed: they treated my evidence as evidence, my child’s suffering as real, and created the only public, accountable pathway left to me. In a [world] that too often expects survivors to vanish into bureaucracy, they opened a window.”

Los Angeles, with its history of progressive activism and unwavering support for human rights, has proven to be the ideal launching pad for EVE. The community has embraced Cait and her mission, providing a fertile ground for growth and impact.

“Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Los Angeles, they’re all places where people come to find their voice and make a difference. LA welcomed me with open arms, though I was broken at the time.” Cait reflects. “I’m so grateful for the publics’ support. Currently, we’re making strong progress on a very serious case of international sexual violence. It involves registered sex offender Mark Holland- a Toronto club promoter who tried to flee prosecution in Canada by coming to LA and was promoting at various clubs in the city. We urge anyone who has any information to come forward.”

A documentary is in the works as is a 6 song EP from Cait, “I get to blend everything I love together, artistic mediums and advocacy. Art with purpose. The support we’ve received here has been instrumental in allowing EVE to expand its reach and amplify its message.”

Looking Ahead: A Future Free from Violence

As EVE continues to grow, its vision remains clear: a world where intimate partner violence and sexual assault are relics of the past. With Cait Alexander at the helm, armed with her extraordinary bravery, unwavering dedication, and profound empathy and creative vision, End Violence Everywhere is not just dreaming of a better future; they are actively building it, one survivor, one policy change, and one act of empowerment at a time.
