Maná Sets New Landmark for Los Angeles Arena Performances

Mexican rock legends Maná have officially surpassed Bruce Springsteen for the most arena concerts performed in Los Angeles, achieving an unprecedented 44 shows across their storied career—surpassing Springsteen’s 42. The milestone was celebrated this past weekend during the band’s penultimate stop at the Kia Forum in Inglewood as part of their Vivir Sin Aire tour. Their final Los Angeles performance took place on Saturday, November 29, marking the fifth and final night scheduled in California’s largest city.

A Fifth Show Added After Selling Out Los Angeles

What began as a four-night run quickly expanded due to overwhelming fan demand. After all tickets sold out, Maná added a fifth and final Los Angeles date to close the month. The tour began in September in San Antonio, Texas, and will conclude in April 2026 in Greensboro, North Carolina. By the end of the run, Maná will have performed 32 shows across the United States, including eight in California alone—five in Los Angeles, one in Fresno, and two in San Jose.

Nearly Four Decades of Global Influence

Formed in Guadalajara, Jalisco nearly 40 years ago, Maná has built one of the most influential careers in Latin rock. With more than 40 million albums sold, four Grammy Awards, and six Latin Grammys, the group continues to shape the cultural landscape of Spanish-language music.

In February, Maná made history once again, becoming the first all–Spanish-language band ever nominated for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Their nomination places them among legendary Latino musicians such as Carlos Santana, Ritchie Valens, and Linda Ronstadt—though, unlike their predecessors, Maná performs exclusively in Spanish. They join a competitive ballot that includes Outkast, Cyndi Lauper, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Soundgarden, Mariah Carey, and The White Stripes, among others.

A Deep, Three-Decade Connection With Los Angeles

Maná’s relationship with Los Angeles dates back to 1993, when they first performed at the Hollywood Palace, then a 4,000-capacity venue. Their popularity skyrocketed over the years, and in 2007 they became the first band to sell out 13 consecutive shows at the Staples Center, packing in up to 20,000 fans per night.

In 2022, the group announced an open-ended residency at what is now the Kia Forum—an uncommon arrangement in Los Angeles, a city where long-term musical residencies are rare compared to Las Vegas. The Kia Forum soon became the exclusive venue where fans could experience Maná live, solidifying the band’s enduring bond with the city and cementing their status as one of the most influential Latin acts in U.S. music history.

A Record That Reflects Legacy and Loyalty

By surpassing Bruce Springsteen’s long-standing record, Maná’s achievement underscores not only their longevity but also the unwavering support of their fanbase. Their 44 Los Angeles arena performances now stand as a testament to decades of cultural impact, musical evolution, and the band’s powerful connection with the city that helped elevate their global success.
